MOTS-c dosage calculator
MOTS-c is a mitochondrial-derived peptide dosed a few times a week at relatively large milligram amounts. A 5mg draw off a 10mg/2mL vial is exactly 1mL, so vial sizing matters most here.

How to reconstitute MOTS-c
STEP 1
Add bacteriostatic water
Trickle 2mL of BAC water down the inside wall of the 10mg vial. That gives a 5.00 mg/mL solution.
STEP 2
Swirl, do not shake
Rotate gently until fully dissolved. Shaking shears the peptide.
STEP 3
Draw your 5000mcg dose
Pull to 100.0 IU (1.000 mL). One 10mg vial yields about 2 doses.
STEP 4
Refrigerate between uses
Store the reconstituted vial at 2-8°C and use within a few weeks.
MOTS-c dosing questions
How do I reconstitute MOTS-c?+
Add 2mL of bacteriostatic water to a 10mg MOTS-c vial. That produces a 5.00 mg/mL (5000 mcg/mL) solution. For a 5000mcg dose you then draw 1.000 mL.
How many units of MOTS-c do I draw for a 5000mcg dose?+
On a U-100 insulin syringe, draw to 100.0 units (1.000 mL). Adjust the inputs above if your vial or water volume differs.
How many MOTS-c doses are in one vial?+
A 10mg vial dosed at 5000mcg gives about 2 doses.
What is MOTS-c's half-life?+
MOTS-c has a half-life of ~hours (short). A typical protocol is 5-10mg, 2-3x weekly. MOTS-c is a mitochondrial-derived peptide dosed a few times a week at relatively large milligram amounts. A 5mg draw off a 10mg/2mL vial is exactly 1mL, so vial sizing matters most here.
